If a shipping rate costs us more than $25 CAD, we reserve the right to request you pay an additional 50% of the shipping rate.

Lettermail 

Certain products are able to fit into a lettermail envelope for cheaper shipping within Canada.  Products such as:

  • Fabric (6 half yards and under)
  • Patterns
  • Sewing and Embroidery Needles

Please note that there is no insurance or tracking with lettermail.

The lettermail option may show up at checkout for products that do not fit in lettermail, if you choose lettermail for these products, we will contact you before shipping your order so that you can choose a different shipping method. 

Local Pickup in Meaford

Local pickup by appointment is available for those in the Meaford area. Please do not come without an appointment. Details will be provided after you have placed your order.

Please be aware, we are a home-based business and do not have a store-front for you to visit. If you choose local pickup hoping to come and visit our shop, we do not have one!

Location and Service Area

We ship to all Canadian Provinces and Territories. We also ship to the USA.

We do not ship to international locations except upon request and require that all international customers pay for tracked air parcel.

We a home-based business located in Meaford, Ontario, Canada and ship all of our products from our home. 

Returns and Exchanges

Returns must be initiated within 14 days of receipt of product. There will be a 15% restocking fee as well as the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.  The goods must be unused, undamaged and in the original package.  Refunds (minus the 15% restocking fee) will be issued when we have received back the inventory in unused and undamaged condition. Shipping charges will not be refunded.

For goods returned damaged or opened, there will be a 50% restocking fee and the remaining 50% will be issued in the form of store credit. There are no returns on pre-washed fabric.

To begin the return process please contact us at info@lindleygeneralstore.ca with your order number as the email subject. Please await further instructions and the return address.

It is recommended to purchase tracking when making returns as we are not responsible for lost packages.

If we have made an error with your order, we will pay the cost of return shipping.  Please contact us within 7 days so that we may correct the problem for you as soon as possible.

PLEASE NO UNAUTHORIZED RETURNS. 

Note: There are no returns on patterns, downloaded patterns, personal care items (i.e. soap bars, lip balm) or clearance items. Yarn that has been balled or caked cannot be returned or exchanged.

All Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale and Boxing Week Sale items are final sale.  No refunds, returns or exchanges.  All items sold as is.

Order Cancellation

Cancelled orders are subject to a $3 CAD cancellation fee (this is to cover the non-refundable charges and processing fees that we have to pay). Orders for fabric will incur a 15% restocking if cancellations are made after fabric has been cut. Orders under $3 CAD cannot be cancelled.

Fees and Charges

Charges incurred on us as a result of error on the part of the customer (i.e. address change fee) will be forwarded to the customer up to 60 days following the date of purchase. 

Sales and Orders

Any order for a single fabric over 20 half yards (or Qty 4 for panels) requires pre-approval, please call or email beforehand. 

We do NOT sell wholesale (business to business). Any commercial orders will be cancelled. 
We reserve the right to cancel orders that exceed our retail cap. i.e. orders for large quantities of yardage that do not have pre-approval.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, definitely! All yardage (unless otherwise specified) is cut from the bolt when it comes time to process your order. This means that if you purchase a quantity of 4 (½ yards), we will cut a single 2-yard piece of fabric from the bolt.

Most orders cannot fit in lettermail. However, if you have purchased very specific things, like a pattern or 6 half yards of fabric or less, you will see an option for lettermail at checkout.

Please keep in mind that lettermail is not tracked and we are not responsible for packages that go missing in the post!

We rip all of our wide backings to ensure accuracy. As wide backing fabric is double folded, cutting isn't as accurate as ripping. Ripping follows the grain, ensuring you get what you ordered.
