A few years ago, we came up with this bundle Golden Hour for a show. We always envisioned this for Gertrude's Star. It's the exact amount of colours needed for the FQ Version of the pattern. But it took us a while to get to it! Last year we made the sample and this year we can finally say we have kits for it! Let's take a look, shall we?

About the Pattern

Who is this pattern for? Intermediate quilters who don't mind a bit of a challenge. This is not a quick and easy pattern, though it is thoroughly illustrated, with clear and precise instructions.

The Gertrude's Star is made up of large blocks featuring a variety of patchwork techniques including HSTs and the Stitch and Flip method.

About the Kit

We've introduced a new way to buy kits. Quilt kits are now called fabric kits and no longer include quilt patterns by default. We've done this after years of customer requests for kits without the pattern.

However, there is now a second option, which you'll see in the collection page, to buy a quilt kit which is the fabric kit + the pattern bundled together. If you add both fabric kit and pattern to your cart, the bundling happens automatically.

A Tip for Your Success

A victory lap is always recommended for quilts with lots of seams along the edges. If you are unfamiliar with what a victory lap is, it's a seam around the edge of your quilt top that keeps all those other seams together. This will ensure a better finish when it's being quilted.
