Introducing the first truly left-handed rectangle ruler on the market! Now you can experience all of the great features of the most popular Creative Grids ruler, but printed specifically for lefties!

The markings on this 6½ x 24½ inch rectangle ruler are a mirror image of our right-handed ruler so lefties will no longer have to deal with numbers that are upside down and reversed! It features easy-to-read black and white markings printed in 1-inch grids marked in ⅛ and ¼ inch increments. Use the easy-to-read, black numbers (printed on white dots) and the ¼ inch grip sides to cut whole inches. The ¼ inch dashed lines printed on two adjoining sides aid in trimming seam allowances.

Use the patented Turn-A-Round feature — designated by the easy-to-read, numerical white numbers (printed on black dots) and the ½ inch grip sides — to add the ½ inch seam allowance. Use the white 45-degree angle to trim half-square triangles in whole-inch increments. Use the black 45-degree angle to trim half-square triangles in half-inch increments. An additional black 45-degree line is placed so that two angles cross ¼ inch away from the outside edge. Use these markings to square up flying geese units; squares set on point or mark cross-hatching. The ruler also features a 30-degree/60-degree angle. White horizontal and vertical lines are printed on the rectangle so the center of the ruler is easily distinguishable. Use these lines to fussy cut stripes and borders.

The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, Creative Grids exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts! This left-handed option is also available as a 6½ inch square (CGR6LEFT).

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, definitely! All yardage (unless otherwise specified) is cut from the bolt when it comes time to process your order. This means that if you purchase a quantity of 4 (½ yards), we will cut a single 2-yard piece of fabric from the bolt.

Most orders cannot fit in lettermail. However, if you have purchased very specific things, like a pattern or 6 half yards of fabric or less, we can put in in lettermail upon request.

Please keep in mind that lettermail is not tracked and we are not responsible for packages that go missing in the post!

We rip all of our wide backings to ensure accuracy. As wide backing fabric is double folded, cutting isn't as accurate as ripping. Ripping follows the grain, ensuring you get what you ordered.
